Chapter 445 - 71: Hunting the Black Prison Civilization, the Great War Begins
In fact, the Three Gods already had plenty of magic-less worlds under their command.
The Three Gods had long since lost interest in such worlds.
They wouldn’t conquer such worlds themselves, and They couldn’t even be bothered to send Their Clans to do so. In fact, Their Clans were completely unaware of these planets, which simply ended up in the shared zone, visible only to the highest Authority Holders.
As for why eleven Demon Worlds appeared here with no Deities rushing to conquer them...
Well, there was a reason for that.
In short, it was undoubtedly due to the bizarre and peculiar nature of these worlds.
Take one of the Middle Demon Worlds, for example.
The entire world was a sea of shit.
Methane and swamp gas blanketed the entire world, plunging it into perpetual darkness. The stench was so overpowering it blotted out the sky.
The ruling Race was a species of shit-eaters, with appetites much like dung beetles.
The subjugated Race, on the other hand, consisted of creatures that defecated in enormous quantities and could produce feces at a frenzied rate simply by consuming organic soil.
As one might imagine, it wasn’t just the Three Gods who were utterly disgusted; even Lince couldn’t help but feel his stomach churn at the sight.
’Fucking hell, the smell is overwhelming!’
Can you imagine what it’s like for an entire planet to be shrouded in swamp gas?
For the entire world to smell like a sewer?
If a Race like that were integrated into the Star Empire... Honestly, the thought sent a shiver down Lince’s spine.
Even if they were to annihilate such a world, Lince suspected that not just he, but even the Three Gods would feel it would dirty Their hands.
Aside from the single High Demon World in the shared zone, all the other Low and Middle Demon worlds were, in short, far too bizarre.
In fact, from the way authority was allocated in the shared zone, Lince had already figured out the primary function of the Cosmic Game.
Its main functions were focused on searching for civilizations, invading them, and expanding its own scale.
The rewards it offered, however, were rather lackluster.
And the True Game?
Its focus was much clearer.
Its speed and power for exploring civilizations were severely lacking.
However, it excelled at storing energy and cultivating the Power of its Players and Authority Holders.
In short, now that the two games had fused into one, they could be considered to have complemented each other.
Once the fusion of the games was complete...
...by the shared will of Lince and the Three Gods of the Cosmos, the entire exploratory Power of the "True Cosmic Game" was focused on the Black Flame World.
Lince and the other three—the Four Gods—did not know how the game conducted its probes.
But They could all sense that the game’s energy storage system was being consumed in massive quantities by the flickering [Exploration Function].
「After roughly eight Star Empire days.」
Finally, the basic information regarding the Black Flame World was laid out before the Four Gods.
[Anchored World: Black Flame Civilization]
(Currently anchored to three subsidiary worlds of this civilization. Please check for details.)
[Magic Environment: High-Demon]
[Rule Erosion Level: 0%]
[Civilization Scale: World Community-Type Civilization]
[Core Civilization: Black Prison Planet (Civilization)]
(This world imprisons an unknown number of powerful beings sealed by the Lord of the Black Prison. The specific reason is unknown.)
[Civilization Type: World Community-Type Civilization]
(Possesses one primary civilization world, and simultaneously governs a total of 139 worlds of different types.)
[Primary Race: Black Prison Race]
(A metaphysical race. Under the influence of the Lord of the Black Prison, in every world where the World Will has been rewritten by him, all negative emotions of the intelligent creatures under his dominion become a breeding ground for the Black Prison Race.)
(The Black Prison Race is innately powerful but possesses no physical body in the Material Realm, thus existing as Spirit Bodies. In worlds where the Black Prison Race is present, no mortal creature can perceive or see their existence before reaching the Saint Tier.)
(The Black Prison Race delights in manipulating all mortal life from behind the scenes. They provide mortal civilizations with the sparks of progress and hope, only to plunge them back into despair at the peak of their prosperity. They harvest mortals time and time again, using this cycle to endlessly grow their own numbers, a process they never tire of.)
[Threat Level: High.]
[World Overview: Inconclusive.]
(Due to the world’s high energy level and the suspected presence of a high-ranking Authority Level existence related to ’negative energy’ anti-matter rules, the True Cosmic Game’s probing power towards the main planet has been blocked. No further effective information can be obtained. Therefore, all administrators are advised to handle this civilization with caution.)
(Information gathered from other regions suggests this civilization may possess one high-ranking Authority Level existence and eighteen beings who are either approaching Authority Level or already possess Authority Level Power. If a war of civilizations is to be waged, administrators are advised to proceed with extreme caution and deliberate planning.)
(...)
It had to be said, after reading the intelligence on the Black Flame World, even though Lince had anticipated they wouldn’t be easy to deal with, he hadn’t expected them to be *this* difficult!
’The Lord of the Black Prison is a suspected high-ranking Authority existence?’
If it were just him, that would be one thing.
But... what Lince hadn’t expected was that there were also supposedly eighteen subordinates who were either approaching Authority Level or had already reached it.
This...?
’If I’d actually listened to the God of All Machines and just charged in recklessly... the result would not have been pretty.’
And so, as the Four Gods gathered once more, they all fell silent, staring at the information before them.
However, it was the God of Thousand Faces who finally broke the silence.
"Well, this should be fun."
"I must say, it’s remarkably lucky that the world controlled by His Excellency Nidhogg managed to survive under the watch of such a powerful entity."
"That being said, it seems the world His Excellency Nidhogg controlled must have dealt a crippling blow to one of this civilization’s subordinate factions. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have ignored the world under your control for so long."
