Chapter 649: Possible new members

Everyone looked at her in surprise before Aphrodite said, “Err, sure.” 

“Really? I just brought all these snacks here,” Tephe complained.

“Come on, Tephe, Lorelie seems to have something important she needs to discuss with them,” Eri said as she bent down to pick up the snacks.

“Fiinnee,” Tephe pouted while also picking up the snacks before leaving with Eri.

Aphrodite followed them out while looking back curiously at Lorelie.

“Something wrong?” Rowena asked after they had left.

Lorelie took a breath before saying, “I’m sorry.”

“Why are you apologising? It’s not your fault you got attacked?” Stacey said with a smile.

Lorelie shook her head while saying, “I’m not apologising for that.”

“Then why?” Adam asked.

“After my attack, I’ve come to realise that I almost cheated on you all,” Lorelie admitted guiltily.

“Excuse me?” Rowena asked with a frown while Adam and Stacey showed looks of surprise.

“Explain,” Rowena ordered in a cold tone.

“Whoa there, calm down. How about we let her finish first?” Adam said as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

Rowena closed her eyes and took a deep breath before saying, “Sorry, but you know I’ve been cheated on in the past, so I guess I’m a bit sensitive when it comes to it.”

“Understandably, but Lorelie didn’t actually cheat, so why don’t we hear her out?” Adam suggested before he turned to Lorelie and indicated for her to continue.

After you protected the Imperial Down from attack and you, Adam, were dragged off by Tephe to look at the different stalls, I started discussing the structure of the harem after Elemence asked me about it...” Lorelie began, but was interrupted by Stacey, who asked.

“Why would Elemence ask you about that?”

“Because of Revi joining in the future and her concern over Revi’s place in it,” Lorelie replied before asking, “Also, do you think you can let me do this without interruptions? It’s already hard enough?”

“Sorry, go on,” Stacey said apologetically.

“During my conversation with her, I mentioned how Emma will most likely be joining the harem at some point in the future…” Lorelie began, only for Adam to interrupt her this time.

“Excuse me?” Adam asked in surprise.

“Oh come on, you can’t tell us you haven’t seen the way she looks at you?” Rowena asked while rolling her eyes.

“Guys, please,” Lorelie pleaded.

“Sorry, sorry, please continue,” Adam said apologetically while Rowena nodded.

“During that conversation, I made a suggestion that Emma and I should have fun later that evening,” Lorelie stated as she hung her head in shame.

“Oh!” Adam and Rowena said in understanding.

“That's it?” Stacey asked in surprise, causing Rowena to sigh and roll her eyes before she asked.

“Do you really not understand the problem?” 

“What problem?” Stacey asked before adding, “Lorelie and I have fun most nights, I don’t see an issue with her having fun with Emma… as long as I get to join in at times.”

“Good lord, granddaughter, you have no idea about what it means to be faithful in a relationship,” Rowena replied in exasperation.

“First,  I’ve never had a relationship before this, so I’ve never had to worry about being faithful, and second, how is it being unfaithful to have fun with someone who is part of your relationship?” Stacey retorted.

“The issue here is that she isn’t part of the relationship,” Lorelie stated in a quiet tone.

“Huh!” Stacey replied in confusion.

“Emma may very well join the harem in the future, but as of right now, she still isn’t a member of it, and if we follow the rule of no sexual activities with non-harem members, then Lorelie would have been cheating should she have done anything with Emma,” Rowena explained.

“Ohhhh,” Stacey said as she finally understood the issue.

“So why did you think it was originally ok to do it?” Adam asked.

“Because Stacey and I had fun with each other before you and I, that gave me the impression that it was ok and because the three of us have been inviting women to join the harem without your input,” Lorelie admitted.

“So this is my fault?” Stacey asked while pointing at herself before adding, “Also, what's wrong with us considering more women for the harem? I’m sure Adam here wouldn’t mind more women serving him in bed.”

“I’m not saying it’s your fault, I’m just explaining why I originally thought that it was ok,” Lorelie replied before continuing. “As regards to more women joining, let me ask this. Whose harem is this, ours or Adam’s?”

“Adam’s,” Rowena replied

“Adam’s, of course,” Stacey replied.

“Yeah, this is actually something I have been wanting to bring up with all of you for quite a while,” Adam stated before adding, “But because of my lack of courage up until now in being unable to tell you that I love each of you, I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to raise this.”

“What, you don’t like us adding more women to the harem on your behalf?” Stacey asked curiously.

“It’s not that,” Adam replied before explaining. “I feel really grateful that each of you is willing to go so far instead of trying to do the opposite and limit the number of women around me; however, I’m also not comfortable with entering into a relationship with someone I just met and definitely not someone I don’t like.”

Stacey, Lorelie and Rowena looked at each other before Rowena said, “Makes sense, I mean it took a bit of time for each of us to enter a relationship with you.”

“So you want to get to know each woman we plan to have join before deciding if you want a relationship with them?” Stacey asked.

“Plan to have join?” Adam repeated with a frown before asking, “Exactly how many do you three already have in mind?” 

The three women avoided looking at Adam for a few moments before Stacey asked, “Who wants to go first?”

“You,” Lorelie and Rowena said simultaneously.

“Damn it,” Stacey cursed before admitting, “So far, the only woman I've been considering inviting is Susan.”

“That’s plausible, since I already know her and like her,” Adam replied, causing Stacey to smile.

“For my part, it’s Kasumi who you already know about, as well as Erkath,” Rowena replied.

“Kasumi?” Stacey asked before adding, “What do you mean he already knows about it?”

“Kasumi is being forced to marry…” Rowena began before she explained to Stacey and Lorelie, who already knew from Liluth about Kasumi’s situation.

“Arranged marriages, what an outdated belief,” Stacey grumbled.

“I agree, and as I have already told Rowena, I’m more than happy to help Kasumi since she's her friend and is also signed for Spector Entertainment; however, I won’t enter a relationship with her unless we get along,” Adam explained before looking at Rowena and asking, “I thought Erkath was already in a relationship and had a mate?”

“Was and did,” Rowena replied before explaining, “Vurguth, her ex, cheated on her and so she kicked him out of the house and left him.”

“Ok, but I’m not sure going straight into a new relationship is a good idea,” Adam remarked.

“You're not really one to judge on that, babe,” Rowena said with a small smile before explaining, “Correct me if I’m wrong, but it wasn’t that much time between when you lost Jenny and started dating Stacey. Three years might have passed, but you were in cryo most of that time.”

“Fair point, but I wasn’t cheated on,” Adam replied while giving Lorelie a reassuring smile before turning to Stacey and adding, “Also, Stacey’s company and support helped me at that time.”

“You never told me that,” Stacey said in surprise.

Adam just shrugged in response before turning to Rowena and asking, “How long did it take you to enter a new relationship after your ex cheated on you?”

“Hmmm, fifteen years, I think,” Rowena replied after thinking for a moment.

“Do I need to go on?” Adam asked.

“Ok, ok, look,” Rowena began. “I initially only mentioned it to Erkath as a joke after she mentioned vacationing with us on Aqua Primus, but after thinking about it for a while, I think she would be a good addition to the harem. 

Not only would that give our family full ownership of Erkath Fashion, but she is well-connected and respected from her days as a universal senator.”

Adam sighed before tuning to Lorelie and Stacey and asking, “What are your opinions on this?” 

“Erkath has been exceptionally helpful to us in the past, and I don’t mean only with regard to Earth Fashion. Also, she and Emma have built a good friendship, so I think if one of them joins, the other should be able to join also,” Rowena replied.

“Erkath is probably the most experienced person we know when it comes to both politics and business and she has been helping Emma learn about business out here in the universe, so all in all, I think she would be a good fit,” Stacey added.

Adam sighed and rubbed his face before saying, “Let’s see what happens on Aqua Primus.”

Rowena smiled before teasingly saying, “You won’t be disappointed, babe; with age comes experience in bed after all.”

“Who did you have in mind to join?” Adam asked Lorelie as he chose to ignore Rowena’s comment.
