Chapter 2645 Political Ramifications

Thus, while the entire Solaris Martial community tingled with the first wave of enthusiasm in a long time, the political power blocs of the nation had already begun tussling about the political implications of this nation.

"Your Majesty..." a Martial Sage growled. "Do you think that we don't know what you are attempting to do?"

A crowd of Martial Sages gathered before the throne in the Royal Hall.

Behind them were many Martial Masters, as well as other important leaders, such as the religious and spiritual leaders.

They confronted the queen, who gazed down upon her throne with cold, aloof golden eyes.

And yet, she wasn't alone.

Before her were several Sages of her own, as well as her own cohort of Masters and industrial leaders of the Solaris Kingdom.

The face-off between the two sides represented a dichotomy within the political sphere of the Solaris Kingdom. Not even a nation as seemingly uniform and homogenous was free from political division.

In the Solaris Kingdom, there was one main fault line, dividing the nation into two political factions.

The clergy and the secularists.

The conservatives and the liberals.

The preservers and the reformists.

As the most powerful light-bender in the Solaris Kingdom, her word was theoretically supposed to be absolute.

In reality, she didn't have absolute power. Even if she was the strongest and peak, Sage of the Solaris Kingdom, if a bunch of powerful Sages banded together, they could form a strong power bloc that could impede her will.

"Besides, if you truly believe that the sol Martial Masters are absolutely superior, then you should have no problem putting them to the test against the Void Prince, should you?"

Sage Dawlish gritted his teeth.

She put him in a tough spot.

Had she brought any other Master, he would have gladly taken up the challenge. He was confident that the Radiant would not fall short of any Master as he was right now. And yet, the person that she had posed as a challenge was none other than one of the two pillars of hope in the Era of Darkness.

There legends and tales surrounding him were truly shocking.

So much so that Sage Dawlish was truly tempted to dismiss them as fairy tales.

And yet, the more unbelievable they were, the more credible the intel sources. The Beggar Sect may engage in a lot of propaganda among the masses, but when it came to selling products to a distinguished clientele, it had cultivated a flawless track record of credibility and trustworthiness.

There was no doubt about the fact that somehow, the Void Prince had managed to fight a Martial Sage and emerge with the upper hand.

"You..." Sage Dawlish ground his teeth.

"If your propaganda on sol supremacy is true, then the entirety of the Solaris Kingdom will come to believe it depending on the outcome of this battle," she remarked. "If your propaganda is nonsense, then that too will come to light. Isn't that ideal for both parties? We will get to witness a Martialocratic ruling on the truth."

And thus, in one month, this political tug of war would firmly fall in the favor of one side.
